Walking is good for your creativity !

Ah, the joys of walking! As a Data Artist, I can tell you firsthand that taking a walk can do wonders for your creativity. And while I'm not a medical professional (just a design wizard), the benefits of walking are well-documented. So, let's dive into the benefits of walking for creativity, shall we?

walking outside is a great way to reconnect with yourself

Few months ago, i have read an interesting article regarding from Stanford University. This study finds that walking improves creativity and you known what .. it is true. I made some other research in this area and here you go.

5 benefits of Walking for me.

1. It Gets Your Blood Flowing

Walking gets your blood pumping, and that means more oxygen and nutrients are getting to your brain. It's like giving your brain a spa day. And who doesn't love a good spa day? of course i exagerate for the spa… but i can tell you that moving around even for a walk will give you more oxygen to your brain, so more energy.

2. It Clears Your Mind

Sometimes, when you're working on a design project, your brain can feel cluttered. Taking a walk can help clear your mind and give you a fresh perspective. It's like hitting the reset button on your brain. I have experienced this several times alreay.. sometimes ideas just “don’t come” and it is not by sitting at your desk that it will get clearer,.. when this happen to me i go out take my ipad, walk for a while… and sit outside for a while. For me it is a great way to “reset”.

I am coming here on a regular basis to get clearer on some projects

3. It Helps You Problem-Solve

Have you ever been stuck on a design problem and just couldn't find a solution? Taking a walk can help you problem-solve by allowing your brain to work on the issue in the background. You might find that when you return to your desk, you have a new perspective and a solution to your problem.

This is another perspective, but really helpful when you are facing some challenge and not even in design, just in your life. If you are struggling with a problem go outside and have a walk with “him” for a while and you will see that you could come back with new ideas.

4. It Sparks Creativity

Taking a walk can inspire creativity. You might notice something interesting in your surroundings that sparks an idea for your project. Or, you might just have a breakthrough moment when you're not even thinking about work. Inspiration can come from the most unexpected places, and a walk might just be the key to unlocking your creativity. In my case, i am surrounded by nature, i know sounds cool if you living in the middle of a city. However, even if you are living in the heart of a city, try and take a chance to go and walk for you while and you will see that this will maybe help you with your creativity. Also a good thing to do is to change your regular walk outside. try a different road, different path.. this will also help you.

Nature around you can give some great support.

5. It's a Great Excuse to Get Out of the Office or your living room

Let's face it, sometimes you just need to get out of the office or right now your home. Taking a walk is the perfect excuse to get some fresh air and stretch your legs. Plus, you'll be doing something good for your creativity (and your health!). i usually take 2 breaks during the day and i always go out for a walk even if it is raining. It ‘s important to “move your body”.

Conclusion

So, there you have it, nothing more to say in this conclusion. The benefits of walking for creativity are clear. And the best part? Walking is free! So, the next time you're feeling stuck or just need a break, lace up your walking shoes and hit the pavement. Your creativity (and your brain) will thank you.

Have another great week.
